Philadelphia, PA – May 21, 2018. Leaders in oncology care management from across the Greater Philadelphia Region will gather tomorrow to envision a superior patient journey for those diagnosed with cancer.
Hosted by the Health Care Innovation Collaborative (HIC), an initiative of the CEO Council for Growth, the event is designed to move the needle on patient outcomes and significantly enhance the reputation and image of the Philadelphia region as the premier center for oncology care.
“The Greater Philadelphia Region has an incomparable combination of people and organizations working every day to deliver the very best in oncology care,” said Gary Kurtzman MD, Managing Director, Healthcare at Safeguard Scientifics, an inaugural member of the HIC. With this initiative, we will begin to harness this to achieve the best possible outcomes for cancer patients.”
Participants will include experts from a broad cross-section of healthcare organizations, including hospital systems, research organizations, insurers and developers of novel therapies. The results of this visioning workshop will be published in a forthcoming white paper to be released in June. Additionally, unmet patient or caregiver needs that could be resolved through novel technology solutions will serve as the basis for an open call to companies. Details regarding this Request for Proposals will be announced in July.
