Phoebe Haddon, Chancellor of Rutgers University-Camden and a member of the CEO Council for Growth, attended a White House summit last week to discuss ways to improve college access in the city of Camden. While at the summit she and her colleagues announced a new partnership to do just that — The Camden City College Access Network. This collaborative effort is “a broad coalition that seeks to leverage the expertise of all involved, which includes the Camden City School District and Camden County College. Creating a common agenda focused on nurturing a college-going culture that addresses college readiness and completion in city schools is the network’s primary goal.”
The CEO Council for Growth focuses their talent agenda along the entire continuum, pre-K through postsecondary, and believe that initiatives such as this are instrumental in improving the region’s talent pipeline.
