The Greater Philadelphia Chamber of Commerce joined forty nine of country’s largest metropolitan regional chambers of commerce in a letter urging congress to address the impending insolvency of the federal Highway Trust Fund.

Congress will consider reauthorization of the MAP-21 long-term highway authorization over the coming months and business groups nationwide want a solution to the federal funding shortfall. They also want congress to empower metropolitan regions to advance locally-driven innovative solutions to transportation challenges.
